Yamaha officially introduced the new YZR-M1 motorcycle 1000 cc engine that will compete in the 2012 MotoGP season. They unveil the new motor design in a special presentation on the eve of last pre-season test at the Jerez circuit, Spain, Friday (03/23/2012).
Yamaha confirmed that the engine was completely new 1,000 cc and produces more than 240 bhp. Hopefully, this new motor can stop the domination of Honda in the hunt for the world title in 2012.
Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies showed a sense of thrill with the YZR-M1 motor performance, after undergoing two official test in Sepang, Malaysia. Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis, also believes that the two drivers will be a serious challenger to Casey Stoner in MotoGP era inaugural season 1000 cc engine.
